Nature Play Day / Back to Nature Day
Back to Nature Day
Children spend the day outdoors making nature collages, building cubbies and taking leaf rubbings with found materials.
How to run it
- Set up three areas: collage, cubby building and leaf rubbing.
- Collect fallen leaves, sticks and petals together.
- Let children move between areas at their own pace.
- Gather at the end to share what they made.
You will need
- paper
- crayons
- glue
- natural materials such as leaves and sticks
- old sheets for cubbies
Make it easier or harderKeep tasks simple for younger children; older children can design a cubby to a plan.
SafetyCheck the area for hazards, apply sun protection and only collect fallen materials.
