Games Carnival Day / Wacky Carnival Events
Wacky Carnival Events
Children compete in silly events like gumboot throwing, egg-and-spoon races and backwards running. Laughter matters more than winning.
How to run it
- Set up a throwing line and race lanes.
- Explain each wacky event with a demonstration.
- Run events in turn and cheer everyone on.
- Let children invent one final silly event.
You will need
- old gumboots
- spoons and plastic eggs or balls
- cones
Make it easier or harderUse lighter items for younger children; older children can design and judge events.
SafetyKeep throwers behind a line and the landing zone clear of people.
