Great Race Day / No-Hands Donut Relay
No-Hands Donut Relay
Relay teams take turns eating a hanging donut without using their hands, then walk back to tag the next player for a funny, messy race.
How to run it
- Hang donuts on string from a line at child height, one per player.
- Line teams up at a start cone a short distance away.
- Players walk to their donut, take bites with hands behind their back and finish chewing before returning.
- Players only move back to tag the next teammate once their mouth is empty.
- Cheer for every finisher, not just the fastest team.
You will need
- donuts
- string
- a rope or broom handle to hang them from
- cones
- wipes
Make it easier or harderUse smaller donut pieces for younger children; older children can add a short obstacle on the way.
SafetyNo running while eating, to reduce choking risk; check for allergies (gluten, dairy, egg) and offer alternatives.
