National Simultaneous Storytime / Storytime Cover Predictions
Storytime Cover Predictions
Before school on Storytime day, children study only the cover and title of this year's chosen book and write or draw predictions to check after school.
How to run it
- Display the front cover of this year's National Simultaneous Storytime book without opening it.
- Ask children what they notice about the title, pictures and colours.
- Have each child write or draw a prediction about what will happen on a slip of paper and pop it in a jar.
- After school, once children have heard the story, read out the predictions and see who came close.
You will need
