Friendship Day / Lolly Heart Graph
Lolly Heart Graph
Children sort small heart lollies by colour, count them and make a bar graph before sharing.
How to run it
- Give each child a small cup of heart-shaped lollies.
- Sort the lollies by colour on a mat.
- Colour in a bar graph to show how many of each colour.
- Compare graphs with friends and then share the lollies.
You will need
- heart-shaped lollies
- sorting mats
- graph sheets
- coloured pencils
Make it easier or harderUse fewer colours for younger children; older children can find the most and least.
SafetyCheck allergies and choose lollies that are not a choking hazard; offer non-food counters as an alternative.
