Teddy Bears' Picnic / Going on a Bear Hunt
Going on a Bear Hunt
Children act out a bear hunt adventure, moving through pretend long grass, sticky mud, a river and a dark cave before racing home.
How to run it
- Gather children and explain the repeated 'going on a bear hunt' chant.
- Lead the group around the yard, acting out each obstacle with sounds and actions.
- Reach the cave, discover the bear, then race back through every obstacle in reverse.
- Let children suggest new obstacles for another round.
Make it easier or harderOlder children can lead the group or add tricky obstacle actions.
