Mental Health Month / Feelings Wheel
Feelings Wheel
Children make a spinning card wheel of emotions with faces and words, then use it to share how they are feeling.
How to run it
- Give each child two card circles, one with a window cut out.
- Divide the bottom circle into sections and draw a face and feeling word in each.
- Join the circles with a split pin.
- Spin to show how they feel and talk about it in a small group.
You will need
- card circles
- split pins
- markers
- scissors
Make it easier or harderUse four basic feelings for younger children; older children can add more nuanced words.
SafetyEducators pre-cut windows and help with split pins.
