How to run it
- Introduce 16 everyday words with pictures, such as ciao, grazie, pane, gelato, rosso, verde and the numbers one to five.
- Invite any children or family members who speak Italian to help lead the pronunciation.
- Give each child a bingo card with pictures in a four-by-four grid.
- Call out words in Italian while children cover the matching picture.
- Winners call the next round in Italian.
You will need
- printed picture bingo cards
- counters or buttons
- word list with pictures
Make it easier or harderYounger children can use a three-by-three card with pictures only; older children can play with words written in Italian without pictures.
