Children's Week / Children Choose the Day
Children Choose the Day
Children vote on and plan the day's activities themselves, giving them a real say in their program.
How to run it
- Brainstorm activity ideas with children in the days before.
- Hold a vote with slips or a show of hands.
- Build the day's timetable together from the most popular choices.
- Run the day and reflect on how the plan worked.
You will need
- voting slips
- ballot box
- large paper for timetable
- markers
Make it easier or harderUse picture voting for younger children; older children can run the vote and timetable themselves.
SafetyCheck chosen activities against your risk assessments before the day.
