Brick Building Day / Brick Bridge Strength Test
Brick Bridge Strength Test
Children build bridges between tables with building bricks and test how many coins they can hold.
How to run it
- Set two tables a short gap apart.
- Children build bridges across the gap using bricks.
- Add coins one by one to test strength.
- Record results and improve designs.
You will need
- building bricks
- coins
- recording sheet
Make it easier or harderYounger children can build across a smaller gap; older children can calculate load per brick.
SafetyCoins are a choking hazard, so supervise near younger children.
