Wizard School Day / Wizard House Sorting
Wizard House Sorting
Children are sorted into made-up wizard houses at a playful ceremony, then work in their houses throughout the day.
How to run it
- Create four houses with names, colours and qualities such as kindness or courage.
- Seat children and invite each to wear a decorated hat.
- Draw a house for each child from the hat.
- Give houses a badge and use them for team challenges.
You will need
- decorated hat
- house name cards
- coloured badges or ribbons
Make it easier or harderYounger children can choose a house colour; older children can create house values and mottos.
SafetyDraw houses randomly or let children choose so no-one feels singled out, and balance friendships.
