Gross and Messy Day / Weird Food Combo Tasting
Weird Food Combo Tasting
Children try unusual but safe food pairings, such as apple with cheese or popcorn with cinnamon, and rate each one.
How to run it
- Prepare small tasting portions of several food pairings.
- Give each child a rating sheet.
- Taste each combo together and rate it from one to five.
- Tally the results to find the group's favourite and least favourite.
You will need
- selection of foods
- small cups or plates
- rating sheets
- pencils
Make it easier or harderOffer milder combos to younger children; older children can invent and present their own combo.
SafetyCheck all allergies and dietary needs before planning, never pressure children to taste and follow food hygiene practices.
My Time Our Place · Outcome 3, Outcome 4Children try new foods, share opinions respectfully and collect simple data.
