Symmetry Butterfly Painting
Children paint one half of a butterfly, fold the paper and press to reveal matching wings, discovering symmetry in a fun, surprising way.
How to run it
- Fold paper in half and draw half a butterfly outline along the fold.
- Have children dab thick paint on one side only.
- Fold the paper over and press firmly, then open to reveal the mirrored wings.
- Leave to dry and talk about symmetry in real insects.
