Planet Costumes
Children choose a planet, research a fact and make a simple costume to wear in a solar system parade.
How to run it
- Share pictures of each planet.
- Let children choose a planet and paint a large paper circle or poster.
- Attach it to a sash or tabard made from paper or fabric.
- Line up in order from the sun and share a fact each.
You will need
- large paper circles
- paint
- string or ribbon
- fabric or paper bags
- planet fact cards
Make it easier or harderUse colour-only planets for younger children, or have older children create a scale line-up.
SafetyKeep string and ribbon away from necks; use tabards instead.
