Survival Challenge Day / Paracord Survival Bracelets
Paracord Survival Bracelets
Older children plait or knot a paracord bracelet with a buckle clip, a hands-on project they can wear home.
How to run it
- Measure and cut paracord, then attach both ends to a buckle.
- Demonstrate the basic cobra knot step by step.
- Let children knot along the bracelet, helping each other.
- An educator trims and seals the ends with a lighter, out of children's reach.
You will need
- paracord
- side-release buckles
- scissors
- measuring tape
- lighter (educator only)
Make it easier or harderUse simple three-strand plaits for younger children, or let older children try a two-colour pattern.
SafetyOnly educators seal cord ends with a flame, away from children.
