How to run it
- Wrap and decorate small snap-lid canisters with white paper ghost faces.
- Go outside and mark a launch spot with a clear safety zone.
- An adult adds half a fizzing tablet and a little water, snaps the lid and places the rocket lid-down.
- Everyone steps well back and waits for lift-off.
You will need
- small snap-lid canisters
- effervescent tablets (non-medicated)
- water
- white paper
- markers
- tape
- safety glasses
Make it easier or harderYounger children can watch from a distance; older children can test water amounts and time the launches.
SafetyUse non-medicated tablets, have the person loading wear safety glasses and keep everyone at least two metres back; never lean over a rocket that has not launched.
