Songkran / Fresh Start Toy Wash
Fresh Start Toy Wash
Children wash, scrub and dry the room's plastic toys and equipment, linking to the Songkran custom of cleaning homes to welcome the new year fresh.
How to run it
- Share that before and during Songkran families tidy and clean their homes to start the new year fresh.
- Set up tubs of warm soapy water, a rinse tub and a drying area on towels.
- Let children choose washable toys such as blocks, animals and kitchen play items to scrub with sponges and brushes.
- Rinse, dry and return everything neatly to its place, and talk about how the space feels afterwards.
