Chocolate Day / Chocolate Estimation Jar
Chocolate Estimation Jar
Children guess how many chocolates fill a jar, then count together to see who came closest.
How to run it
- Fill a clear jar with wrapped chocolates and count them in secret.
- Have children write their estimate and name on a slip.
- Count the chocolates together in groups of ten.
- Find the closest guess and share the chocolates fairly.
You will need
- clear jar
- wrapped chocolates
- paper slips
- pencils
Make it easier or harderUse fewer chocolates for younger children; older children can estimate by measuring one layer.
SafetyCheck allergies and dietary needs before sharing chocolates.
