Junior Chef Challenge / Blind Taste Test Survey
Blind Taste Test Survey
Children blind taste-test three versions of one food, vote for a favourite and graph the group's results.
How to run it
- Prepare three unlabelled samples of the same food, such as different crackers.
- Children wear a blindfold or close their eyes and taste each sample.
- Each child records their favourite.
- Tally the votes and make a bar graph together.
You will need
- three versions of one food
- small cups or plates
- blindfolds
- chart paper
- markers
Make it easier or harderUse a picture tally for younger children; older children can describe taste, texture and smell before voting.
SafetyCheck allergies before choosing foods and use clean samples for each child.
