Paper Plate Turtle Species
Children make paper plate turtles modelled on real Australian species, such as the green turtle, flatback or eastern long-necked turtle, copying shell patterns and adding the right flippers or feet.
How to run it

- Have each child choose a species to model.
- Paint or colour the back of a paper plate with that species' shell pattern.
- Cut and glue on a head and flippers or feet that match.
- Add a label with the species name and where it lives.
