Knights and Fairies / Hobby Horse Joust
Hobby Horse Joust
Children ride hobby horses and gently aim pool noodles at a target, a safe take on medieval jousting.
How to run it
- Set up a jousting lane with a hanging target or rings on a stand.
- Give each child a hobby horse and pool noodle.
- Children ride down the lane and try to hit the target.
- Swap turns and keep score.
You will need
- pool noodles
- hobby horses
- target or rings
- cones
Make it easier or harderMove the target closer for younger children; older children can aim for smaller rings.
SafetyAim at targets rather than each other to keep the activity safe.
