Mother's Day / Heart String Art
Heart String Art
Children wind string around pins in a heart shape to create a colourful string art picture.
How to run it
- Draw a heart outline on foam board or cork board.
- Push pins at even spaces around the outline.
- Tie string to one pin and wind it back and forth across the heart.
- Tie off the end and trim.
You will need
- foam or cork board
- push pins
- coloured string or wool
- markers
Make it easier or harderUse fewer pins for a simpler version; older children can create a complex pattern.
SafetyUse push pins in foam board rather than hammered nails, and supervise pin use.
