International Dance Day / Dancing Feet Paint Art
Dancing Feet Paint Art
Children step in washable paint and dance across a long roll of paper outdoors, creating a colourful record of their moves.
How to run it
- Roll out a long strip of butcher's paper outside, weighed down at the corners.
- Set up trays of washable paint at one end and buckets of soapy water and towels at the other.
- Children step into the paint and dance, hop and slide along the paper to music.
- Wash feet at the end, then display the dried artwork as a 'dance map'.
You will need
- butcher's paper roll
- washable paint
- shallow trays
- buckets of soapy water
- towels
- device and speaker
Make it easier or harderYounger children can walk slowly with an educator holding their hand; older children can try to paint a specific pattern.
SafetyPaint makes the surface slippery, so use flat ground, hold hands as needed, and check skin sensitivities before starting.
