Clay Animal Sculptures

Children sculpt animals from clay, practising shaping, joining and adding texture.

How to run it

  1. Give each child a ball of clay and simple tools.
  2. Show how to roll, pinch and join pieces.
  3. Have children sculpt an animal of their choice.
  4. Add details with tools and leave to dry.

  • air-dry clay

  • boards
