Teamwork Day / Blindfold Trust Walk
Blindfold Trust Walk
Partners take turns guiding each other around a simple outdoor course using only spoken directions, building trust and clear communication.
How to run it
- Set out a gentle course using cones on soft, flat ground.
- Pair children and agree on clear directions such as left, right, stop and step up.
- One partner wears a blindfold while the other guides with words and a hand on the shoulder.
- Swap roles, then talk about what made a good guide.
You will need
- blindfolds or scarves
- cones
Make it easier or harderUse eyes-closed instead of blindfolds for nervous children; add more obstacles for older children.
SafetyKeep the course flat and clear of hazards, and let children opt out of the blindfold.
