World Animal Day / Animal Moves Obstacle Course
Animal Moves Obstacle Course
Children move through a course as different animals, hopping like a kangaroo, slithering like a snake, waddling like a penguin and crab-walking sideways, then cheer each other through again.
How to run it
- Set up stations with cones, hoops, mats and a tunnel or table to crawl under.
- Put a picture card at each station showing which animal move to use.
- Demonstrate each move before children start.
- Send children through one at a time or in small waves.
- Finish by asking children to invent a new animal move for the final station.
